You’re navigating a season of life that looks different than you expected. Maybe anxiety has you overthinking conversations, questioning yourself, or worrying about disappointing the people you love. Maybe you’re learning how to set boundaries with family while still honoring where you come from. Maybe motherhood has brought you immense love while also leaving you wondering where you went. Or perhaps you’re carrying the weight of grief, trying to make sense of a loss while learning how to live in a world that feels different without someone you love.

You may be tired of putting everyone else’s needs first, keeping the peace, or feeling like you have to carry everything on your own. Your relationships may feel harder than they once did, or you may simply be longing to feel more connected, to others and to yourself.

Whatever brought you here, you don't have to have it all figured out.

Maybe you don’t feel quite like yourself anymore.

Este es tu espacio para descubrir quién estás llegando a ser.

Therapy can be a space to slow down, make sense of what you’ve experienced, and reconnect with what matters to you. You don’t have to become who you were before. You can make room for who you are now, understand what you need, and discover who you’re becoming.

Why Claridad Counseling?

Claridad

I bring more than 14 years of experience supporting people through different stages of life, along with 8+ years of clinical counseling experience. My background spans higher education, nonprofit counseling, and private practice, giving me a broad understanding of the challenges people face and the many factors that shape how we experience ourselves and our lives.

Compasión

At the heart of my work is a belief that people deserve to feel seen, heard, and supported. I've spent my career working alongside individuals from diverse backgrounds, helping them navigate mental health concerns, life transitions, relationships, and the circumstances that can make it difficult to move forward.

Contigo

Your story doesn't have to be translated, simplified, or explained away. I offer therapy in English, Spanish, and Spanglish, creating a space where your culture, family, relationships, and lived experiences can be part of the conversation. Together, we'll make space for where you've been, where you are now, and who you're becoming.

Specializations

Our work goes beyond clinical labels to honor your lived experience. I offer evidence-based, culturally attuned care for women across three areas:

Anxiety & Emotional Overwhelm

For when your mind won’t quiet down, perfectionism takes over, or you’re constantly bracing for what might go wrong. Together, we’ll make sense of overwhelming thoughts, patterns, and emotions while building tools to help you feel more grounded, present, and connected to yourself.

Motherhood & Perinatal Mental Health

For the profound identity shifts that can come with pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood from anxiety and depression to mom guilt, relationship changes, and wondering where you went. I’ll offer a compassionate space to navigate this transition, honor the parts of you that are changing, and discover who you’re becoming as a mother and as a woman.

Grief & Life Transitions

For when loss or a major life change leaves you feeling like the world, and maybe even you, has changed. If you’ve lost someone you love, there is no timeline for how you should grieve or when you should feel better. We’ll make space for your grief. Whether you’re grieving a relationship, a dream, or a version of yourself you had to let go of, you don’t have to minimize what this loss means to you.

Contigo.

About the therapist

Hi, Im Mary. For 14 years, I've had the privilege of walking alongside people navigating life's hardest transitions, first in higher education, now in private practice. My mission is simple: to help women who feel lost in the noise of their lives find their way back to themselves or to who they are becoming.

Many of us were raised with the cultural expectation to ser fuerte — to be strong, keep quiet, and put everyone else's needs before our own. I know that pull intimately. I understand how deeply your love for your family and culture can conflict with your need to protect your own mental health.

In my practice, you don't have to choose between honoring your roots and protecting your peace. You can do both.
